Seller Obligations

In Search Of Powersports Parts provides an easy-to-use marketplace for sellers to list and sell parts. All sellers are expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Provide accurate For Sale listing descriptions – All items must be described honestly and clearly. Misrepresenting condition, compatibility, or functionality may result in cancellation fees and account penalties
  • Ship within 72 hours – Sellers must ship the sold item within 72 hours of confirmed payment and upload tracking to the site. If you are unable to ship within this timeframe, communicate directly with the buyer. If the item is not shipped the platform reserves the right to cancel the order, refund the buyer, and apply a 10 percent seller cancellation fee (minimum ten dollars)
  • Keep listings up to date – If a part is no longer available, deactivate or delete the listing. Selling an item you no longer have will result in cancellation and a 10 percent seller cancellation fee (minimum ten dollars)
  • All sellers must adhere to these requirements to continue using the platform. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent removal

Buyer Obligations

In Search Of Powersports Parts is committed to a secure and trustworthy environment for buyers. Buyers must follow these expectations:

  • Submit offers in good faith – Only make offers on parts you are prepared to purchase. If you're only interested in negotiating, use the messaging tool instead. Once an offer is accepted, it cannot be reversed
  • Provide clear In Search Of listings – When creating an ISO ad, be specific about the part you're seeking. Include make, model, year, part number, and photos whenever possible to help sellers accurately respond
  • Buyers are required to submit payment within 24 hours of offer acceptance. Failure to complete payment may result in offer cancellation and account penalties
  • After receiving an item, buyers are required to log in and mark the item as received within the platform. This confirms delivery and triggers the release of funds to the seller. If the buyer does not mark the item as received within 48 hours of confirmed delivery, the system will automatically do so on their behalf and release the funds to the seller permanently. This action cannot be reversed, and buyers waive any claim to those funds once released.
  • Use on-platform payments – All payments must be completed through the In Search Of Powersports Parts platform. Even if arranging a local pickup, payment must be processed on the site for security and verification. Transactions conducted outside the platform are prohibited

Buyer and Seller Obligations

Our mission is to foster a marketplace built on trust, transparency, and accountability. Both buyers and sellers are expected to maintain clear and respectful communication at all times

  • Respectful conduct – Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior are not tolerated. Any such behavior may result in account suspension
  • All questions, concerns, or disputes must be communicated promptly through the platform’s messaging system. Keeping all communication on-platform ensures transparency, provides a documented record, and supports a smooth transaction process. This is especially important in the event of delivery issues or concerns about the item received, as In Search of Powersports Parts does not handle refunds or mediate disputes. Buyers and sellers are expected to work together directly to resolve any problems.
  • All sales on In Search of Powersports Parts are final. The platform does not process refunds, returns, or exchanges. If a buyer believes there is a problem with an item received, they must contact the seller directly through the platform’s messaging system. Any refund or resolution is at the sole discretion of the seller. Sellers who choose to issue a refund must do so through their Stripe account. The platform will not intervene in refund negotiations, nor will it reverse a completed payout.
